As the beginning of October arrived I was growing excited but also anxious to find out more about my next Birchbox. From previous experience other subscriptions go down hill rather quickly after the initial sign up.
This months Birchbox was exceptionally interesting as they had joined up with CoppaFeel a breast cancer awareness charity. To help promote awareness and teach women the signs of breast cancer the box came with a handy sticker and card explaining how to check your breasts for signs of cancer.
This Works Sleep Spray
This Works Deep Sleep spray really did work for me! Out of this months Birchbox, this is the one product which really stood out. It is no secret that from time to time I find my self staring at the ceiling just willing that I could fall asleep, from natural supplements to hot drinks I have tried every trick in the book. Just a few squirts of this soothing spray on my pillow and I would eventually find myself relaxed enough to fall asleep. The only downfall was that the little tester spray really didn’t last very long, only 2 weeks to be exact! This product is definitely on my future too buy list.
Grounded Body Scrub
Grounded Body Scrub was a rather different product which left me with mixed feelings. The smell and the way my skin felt afterwards was fantastic, however the whole idea of covering my body in coffee beans in the the first place felt very strange. Even with the skin benefits I’m not a great lover of coffee or having to hose the shower down to get rid of the remains.
Anatomicals Grab Your Melons Shower Gel
This was the product which CoppaFeel had teamed up with to raise breast cancer awareness and oh my what a great choice it was. The smell of this product was just fabulous, reminding me of Spanish sweets! The constancy was also just perfect and aided giving those melons or in my case cupcakes a good checking. The only problem was that I always fancied a sweet snack after my shower.
Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash
Balance Me Pure Skin face wash is an extremely gentle face wash which left my skin feeling clean and clear. My skin still got very oily, but my spots and break outs were less frequent and less angry! In comparison to many other face washes the price isn’t quite high street / supermarket prices, but a little bit of the product really did go a long way.
Modelco Contour Stick
This is a very hard product for me to review and was the main product I was looking forward too in the October’s Birchbox. The product it self seems great and has a lovely scent of marzipan, which for me is heaven! The only problem is me, i’m super new to contouring and just cant get it right, every time I have a go I look more and more like and extra from the Nightmare Before Christmas. I think its time for me to watch a few how too videos before I give contouring another shot.
